Help us turn Hartlebury Castle into something really special.
We couldn’t manage without our fantastic volunteers and we’re always looking for new volunteers to join our friendly teams. All you need is enthusiasm and a smile. So, if you enjoy meeting new people, learning new skills, putting old skills to good use and having fun then get in touch with us today:
Current Volunteering Opportunities
Children’s Arts & Crafts Volunteers
Volunteers are needed to help with fun and creative art and craft activities for children during school holidays and event days. Activities could include mask making, painting, clay models and many more. Volunteers will be given full instructions and materials by our Education and Events Team and shown what to do, before being let loose to help our younger visitors. We’re also looking for volunteer pumpkin cavers and a Father Christmas!
Gardening and Grounds Management Volunteers
Come and help us transform and restore our beautiful and historic gardens and grounds.
- Mondays: Grounds Management Team, 10am-3pm or 10am-12.30pm / 12.30-3pm. The team will be hacking back overgrowth, building bonfires, mending footpaths and chopping brambles etc.
- Tuesdays: Gardening Team, 1.30-3.30pm. Join the Tuesday team for some general gardening including pruning, weeding and planting.
Hartlebury Castle Choir
Would you like to join our fledging choir and sing in Hartlebury Castle’s beautiful and atmospheric Chapel? Our new choir is about to start fortnightly rehearsals and will be performing at the Castle for the first time this December. There’ll be a range of lovely music to sing and no experience is required.
We have many other roles too, including Conservation Care volunteers, Room Stewards, Social Media Volunteers and Tour Guides so get in touch and become part of Hartlebury Castle’s dynamic future.
