Tuesday 26 – Saturday 30 October 2021
Visitors are invited to #DiscoverMore at Hartlebury Castle this October half term when families can enjoy a fun-filled Halloween-themed week at the historic castle in the heart of Worcestershire.
From Tuesday 26 – Saturday 30 October budding witches and wizards are invited to dress up in their favourite spooky costume and enjoy Halloween fun following the fangtastic Pumpkin Trail, and join Witch and Wizards school to make a wand to cast spells and stir up a potion ready for Halloween.
From Tuesday – Friday families can select their own Hartlebury-grown pumpkin to carve and take home. Visitors are asked to book their pumpkin by calling 01299 250416 to avoid disappointment.
The pumpkin trail around the Castle takes visitors through over 1,000 years of history and around the beautiful grounds which are filled with the sights and sounds of autumn.
Pippa Ashmore, Events Officer at Hartlebury Castle, says: “Hartlebury’s half term activity weeks are all about having fun with friends and family. The whole family can enjoy creative Halloween activities and the ever-popular pumpkin carving means you get your very own carved pumpkin for Halloween without the mess at home!”
Hartlebury Castle is just a short drive from Worcester and Kidderminster and not far from the M5 junction 6. It is nestled in beautiful countryside and the perfect place to see the changes in nature during autumn. Explore the grounds and enjoy an autumnal walk looking for colourful leaves or step into the past together and visit the Cider Mill and the Transport Gallery which houses a fascinating array of vehicles including a fire engine, hansom cab, bicycles, carts and a large collection of beautifully decorated Gypsy caravans.
Normal admission charges apply each day plus £2 per child for the Halloween craft activities and £3.50 per person for pumpkin carving. The pumpkin trail is included in admission. Please see the website www.hartleburycastle.com for full details of the activities each day and for visitor information.
