PRESS RELEASE
FOR IMMEDIATE USE
29 January 2025
Hartlebury Castle is welcoming visitors back into its magnificent buildings from this Saturday 1 February. The popular visitor destination situated just outside Kidderminster closes in January for essential maintenance and cleaning. The team have been working hard to get it ready for reopening this weekend.
Set in the heart of the Worcestershire countryside Hartlebury Castle is the perfect place to escape with family and friends. There’s plenty to do inside and out, as you discover the stories of the Bishops of Worcester and the Castle’s 1000 year history, explore fascinating objects in Worcestershire County Museum and relax as you take a walk around the tranquil grounds and gardens. The Castle is perfect for making memories for generations, and the Visit Britain award for ‘Best Told Story’ for the second year running is a testament to how there really is something for everyone to enjoy.
2025 sees some exciting events at Hartlebury Castle including live music, outdoor theatre and children’s activities, crafts and trails during each school holiday. In February half term children can bring to life rockets, pirate ships and superhero puppets and enjoy a fun family trail around the Castle.
Hartlebury Castle reopens on Saturday 1 February. Opening hours are Tuesday – Friday 10am – 5pm, and weekends 11am – 5pm. Last entry is 4pm. Visitor information can be found at www.hartleburycastle.com.
