The Commandery’s family mornings are here all summer long!
Through the holidays, children can enjoy creative activities, fun family trails, listen to stories, have fun in the gardens and more in Amazing Oceans, Medieval Quest, and Fairytale Adventures.
Every session ends with a story, drink and a biscuit. Aimed at children from pre-school ages to 10 years.

🌊 Amazing Oceans | 23, 24, 25 July and 13, 14, 15 August
Dive into ocean-inspired summer family mornings at The Commandery this summer!
Get crafty by creating your own shark, jellyfish, and colourful octopus to take home, and learn about how mammals stay warm in cold water with a science experiment.
Enjoy colouring in and puzzle sheets too, and of course a fantastic family trail all about the deep blue sea.
🏰 Medieval Quest | 30, 31 July, 1 August and 20, 21, 22 August
Leap back to medieval times in this questing family morning at The Commandery!
Learn how to fire a trebuchet (a type of catapult) in the gardens, play in castle tents and gallop with hobby horses.
You can also get creative by making your own crown and amulet – what design will yours have? Decorate a stained-glass window too, and enjoy medieval-themed colouring in and puzzles.

🍄 Fairytale Adventures | 6, 7, 8 August and 27, 28, 29 August
Once upon a time at The Commandery… there was plenty of fairytale fun to be had!
Create your own fairy, make a big bad wolf mask, and see if you can put Humpty Dumpty back together again. There’ll be colouring in and puzzle sheets to enjoy too.
In a building as old as this, there’s sure to be a fairytale or two to be found… Are you brave enough to follow the trail to find them all?

Family mornings are £5 per child, which you can book online via the links above. General admission to The Commandery applies to all visitors and can be paid for on arrival or booked online too.
You can get free admission to The Commandery if you have a season or Worcester Residents’ pass (£5 per child for the session still applies) – find out more and plan your visit. Your ticket can be upgraded on the day!
