Take a look through the packages:
The Great Hall
The Great Hall is at the very heart of The Commandery – as it has been for centuries.
Featuring a traditional 15th-century timbered roof, a Minstrel’s gallery overlooking the Hall, and with light filtering in through the delicate painted glass of the Oriel window, it is a truly special space. A versatile entertaining area with direct access to the gardens, the Hall can be used for the ceremony, relaxing, dining or dancing.
Hire of the Great Hall also includes use of the main gardens and the charming dressing room.
The Solar Room
Also known as the Great Chamber, the Solar Room is one of the most impressive medieval rooms at The Commandery, alongside the Great Hall.
It has a beautiful 15th-century timbered roof and lots of daylight with windows on both sides of the room, overlooking the gardens on one side and the cobbled courtyard on the other.
The Solar Room was originally designed to be the living quarters of the Master, Thomas Wylde, who was a successful clothier and a leading Worcester citizen. He purchased The Commandery in 1545.
Hire includes use of the charming dressing room.
“We had the best ceremony at the Commandery; all of the staff were fantastic and the venue is an absolute dream. The Solar Room was perfect for our small ceremony, and the gardens were excellent for photos. A special thank you to Mandy who made sure everything ran smoothly.” – Mr & Mrs Cawdell.
The Oak Apple Suite and Gardens
The Oak Apple Suite is a small, peaceful and private set of rooms that are separate from the museum’s visitor route.
There is a lovely entrance hall where drinks can be served, a comfortable side room with sofas in which to relax, and the ceremony will overlook the beautiful herb garden through French windows.
Hire includes use of the charming dressing room.
The Garden
The charming walled gardens offer a haven of tranquillity in the city, overlooking the picturesque Georgian wing of The Commandery.
The gardens are spacious and can accommodate a marquee. Hire includes use of the charming dressing room.
