What’s on in the Easter holidays 2024 at the museums!

It’s a WILD spring at the museums with fun activities inspired by Easter bunnies, safari animals, and wondrous wildlife!

Here’s what families can enjoy in the Easter holidays at The Commandery, Worcester City Art Gallery and Museum, and Worcestershire County Museum at Hartlebury Castle…

At The Commandery

Bunny doors

Saturday 23 March – Sunday 7 April | The Commandery

Closed Monday 25 March; open Bank Holiday Monday 1 April.

The Easter Bunny has arrived at The Commandery and its beautiful gardens!

Come dressed in your best Easter costume and follow the trail and see if you can find all the bunny doors.

Then, make your very own bunny door to take home with you, and enjoy colouring and activity sheets too.

Admission + £3 for the trail and crafts. Plan your visit.

At Worcestershire County Museum, Hartlebury Castle

Explore the Bishop’s Palace, County Museum, and beautiful grounds including the magical woodland play area.

Have an animal-tastic day out at Hartlebury Castle in the heart of the Worcestershire countryside!

Have a cracking Easter weekend with the Hartlebury Castle Easter egg hunt!

See how many eggs you can find in the beautiful springtime Castle grounds. Everyone wins a chocolate prize – plus, don’t forget to say hello to the Easter Bunny!

Over 5s, under 5s, over 16s, quiet, and level access sessions available. Dairy free eggs available too.

Whole site admission + £6 per person entering the Easter egg hunt (includes chocolate prize and the safari trail around the Castle).

Have a WILD visit to the Art Gallery and Museum this spring!

The popular activity bags are back for the holidays – and this time you can create three amazing animals.

Make a prickly hedgehog, flapping butterfly and spiral snake, and enjoy colouring and puzzles too.

Each activity bag has multiple themed activities inside, and the Activity Space in the museum is fully equipped for young creatives to get going on their making.

Create your own cute animal puppets inspired by the Art Gallery and Museum’s natural history collection!

Choose from making three finger puppets or one hand puppet in these fun Easter holiday sessions.

Aimed at children aged 5 – 11 years. There are easier versions for younger children and slightly more challenging ones for older children.

Free entry to Worcester City Art Gallery and Museum.

£4.50 per child. Adults must stay throughout (younger siblings welcome).

Not all animals need the same things to live. Some like it cold, others prefer warm sunshine!

Inspired by Worcester City Art Gallery and Museum’s natural history collection, choose which animal you would like to make a home for and discover what its habitat would be.

Then get creative with our art materials to create the animal’s perfect home.

Sessions take place on Thursday 28 March and Thursday 4 April.

Aimed at children aged 5 – 11 years. Adults must stay throughout (younger siblings welcome).
