What’s on in the Easter holidays 2025 at the museums!

Have a fun and creative spring at the museums with family activities inspired by nature, animals, and – of course – Easter bunnies!

Easter Hartlebury

The Easter holidays have arrived – hop on over for a brilliant family day out at Hartlebury Castle and enjoy some crafty creativity while you’re here.

Children can get creative with decorating a pot to take home. You could use yours to collect mini eggs, hold a pot plant, or keep pencils in.

Yours could be a bunny pot with ears, bunny feet and face, or something completely unique!

Discover the history of Worcestershire as you explore the Bishop’s Palace and County Museum with the spring family trail too! And be sure to save some energy for the woodland adventure playground.

Be inspired by the beautiful nature around the grounds at Hartlebury Castle and make your own prints in clay!

We’ll be using air-drying clay, so you can take your clay creations home to hang on the wall.

Eggs-perience a fantastic family day out at Hartlebury Castle’s Easter Eggstravaganza!

Hartlebury Castle’s ever-popular Easter egg hunts are back for another year! Scour the grounds high and low for eggs over the bank holiday weekend, be rewarded with a chocolate prize (dairy-free available), and look out for extra treats. The Easter Bunny will be here to help you put your best foot forward and pose for a special photo or two!

At The Commandery

Easter bunny trail

The Commandery’s Easter bunnies have escaped – can you find them all?

The bunnies are from lots of different eras of history – with egg-cellent outfits to match!

Once you’ve found them all, have fun making an Easter decoration to take home with you.

The Commandery is also open on Bank Holiday Easter Monday from 10am – 4pm.

Admission info

£3 for the trail and activities – this can be purchased from the shop on the day of your visit. General admission to The Commandery applies to all visitors and can be either booked online in advance or purchased on the day of your visit.

Head to the Plan Your Visit page for further admission options – including discounts for Worcester residents (if you pay Council Tax to Worcester City Council), season passes, and membership. These can be purchased when you visit and aren’t currently available online. Your ticket can be upgraded on the day of your visit.

At Worcester City Art Gallery and Museum

Family arty sessions

Follow a fun family trail around the Art Gallery and Museum – inspired by Worcester’s natural history collection.

Find the facts about 8 animals hidden around the museum to help you answer the questions on your trail sheet.

Once you’ve found them all, head to the children’s Activity Space to see the animals from the museum collections. Have a go at drawing your favourite one!

Be inspired by the snappiest animals in the Easter holidays!

Pick up your activity bag to make a cracking crocodile, a paper-plate hippo, and create your own version of the museum’s ichthyosaur fossil!

Each activity bag has multiple themed activities inside along with colouring and puzzle sheets. The Art Gallery and Museum is fully equipped for young creatives to get going on their making.

Tuesday 22 April 2025, 10 – 11am and 11.30am – 12.30pm | Worcester City Art Gallery and Museum

Unleash your creativity in the Art Gallery and Museum as you get arty in the Easter holidays with artist Inner Knowings!

Paint a pebble, decorate a gratitude card and add your favourite things to an ‘I Like’ collage.

This workshop will take place in the newly refurbished Activity Space.
